About Leffe
Leffe is named after the Notre-Dame de Leffe abbey in Dinant, founded in 1152. The monks brewed there for centuries; since the 1950s the beer has been brewed under licence, today by AB InBev in Leuven.
Leffe is an abbey beer, not a Trappist: the abbey receives royalties, but the beer isn't made in the abbey itself. Leffe Blonde is 6.6%.
