What BierChecker is

BierChecker shows which beers on the menu of a café, pub or bar give you the most for your money. The app and the website are free. Contact: hallo@bierchecker.nl.

18+ only

BierChecker is about alcohol and is only for people aged 18 and over. If you are younger, don't use the app. Drink responsibly: BierChecker helps you choose smart, not drink more.

Prices and information

The beers, prices and sizes come from the beer menu on the venue's website or from a photo someone took. We read them automatically and show when. Menus change and our reading can make mistakes: the price at the venue always applies.

We do our best, but don't guarantee that everything is correct, complete or up to date. Something wrong? Report it in the app with "Something wrong?".

The order comes from the menu only: alcohol, size and price. Venues cannot buy a better spot.

Your account

Searching and viewing beers works without an account. With an account you save places and see your history. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can always delete your account in the app (Profile › Delete account).

What you add yourself

If you scan a menu, add a venue or report a mistake, we may use the resulting beers, prices and venue details and show them to everyone. That data belongs to the venue, not to you.

Only photograph the menu, without people in the picture. Only add real venues and real menus. Abuse, such as fake venues, made-up prices or automatically scraping BierChecker, is not allowed; in that case we may limit your access.

Tips

In the app you can voluntarily buy us a beer. You get nothing extra for it: everything in BierChecker also works without. Payment goes through Apple. Want your money back? Request it from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Liability

BierChecker is free and provided as is. We are not liable for damage caused by a price or menu that is wrong, or because the app isn't working for a while, unless it is caused by intent or gross negligence on our part. Your statutory rights as a consumer always apply.

The App Store

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's terms also apply. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for BierChecker or its support.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; the latest version is always here. For major changes, we'll let you know in the app. These terms are governed by Dutch law.
