About Gouden Carolus
Gouden Carolus comes from Brouwerij Het Anker in Mechelen, one of Belgium's oldest breweries. The beer is named after the gold coin of Emperor Charles V, who grew up in Mechelen.
The Classic is a dark, warming 8.5% beer. There are also variants such as the Tripel and a version aged in whisky casks.
