About Guinness
Arthur Guinness started at the St. James's Gate brewery in Dublin in 1759, on a 9,000-year lease. Guinness has been the classic example of an Irish stout ever since.
The creamy head comes from nitrogen in the beer. Guinness Draught is only 4.2% alcohol, lower than many people think.
